In spite of living in a French speaking province for 8 years and being a lover of languages, always exploring different tongues to sing in ( youtu.be/L1foqsNHZZE?si=M07SYO8uWTYJlWlw ) I had never sung a song for Paper Beat Scissors in French. A couple of years ago i began speaking with my good friend Carine about translating Tendrils and after a very long and exacting process (sorry, Carine) we finally got there!

The song is (amongst other things) very much rooted in the subconscious, and was from a period of writing by me that was somewhat willfully obscure, so Carine really had to work hard to find a way to translate it that maintained a connection to its stream-of-consciousness roots and its hidden heart.

I've been in the studio demoing new material over the Christmas period and took a moment to document a version of this for all of you!
